Default CSST passing through sheetrock wall

Does CSST need to be sleeved when it goes through a sheetrock wall? This is a wall that separates two bays in a garage so I am not worried about fire protection. I looked through the GAStite PDF but it wasn't clear about just passing through a sheetrock wall.

    Thanks

I'm surprise the brain trust didn't have this answer. I spoke to GasTite and CSST can pass through sheet rock without any sleeving as long as it has it plastic coating and there are no fitting inside the wall cavity. The exception is when passing through masonry / brick walls, it must be sleeved.

Cool Re: CSST passing through sheetrock wall

You must have strike protection plates at the top and bottom framing plates for 6" but out in the stud bay you actually want some slack so it can be pushed aside by a nail.

Keep the fire in the fireplace.
