What type of siding is this?
I just became part owner of this house in Florida and will be making the cosmetic repairs myself. I'm having trouble determining what type of siding this is. I believe the plank siding is a "Masonite" type; not a John Hardie product. The second photo is of the "stucco" siding. It looks as though it's some type of 4 X 10 sheet and I'm curious if it is also a "Masonite" product. I highlighted a corner of it where it looks as if it's broken. Neither the vertical or sheet siding has the appearance of fiber cement siding. Any help would be graetly appreciated.
Jeff
Does anyone have a suggestion about brands?

Re: What type of siding is this?
It looks like hardboard composite siding to me. Like Masonite. Pretty common stuff that was popular in the 70''s and 80's here.

knot pattern on front or alpha-numeric markings on the backside may tell the brand
wouldn't use it for a dog house..
