Rotten bathroom floor

First time home buyer. I found a house which seems to have rotten bathroom floor. Can someone please help? Thank you very much.

The floor is cracked and appears to settlement. Is this a serious problem? How difficult and expensive is it to repair? Can it be a DIY project?

It certainly can be. Hard to say without seeing it.

Again, impossible to even guess from just that photo.

Not if you have to ask....

Hire a local inspector, there are many other components you'll want inspected.

I would say appears to water damagment. Probably all of the fixtures and tile need to be removed and the subfloor replaced. If you are handy you could do it.

He can go out and see things up close and personal.

Depends on how much time, money, and knowledge you have - there is no way the we can tell you that it may be a DIY project for you.

You really need someone to look at it up close and personal - i.e., at the house, someone like your local home inspector.

Thank you all for help. Looks like it's difficult to tell unless taking the floor out to see the damage underneath. I might have to pass this house as it's hard to estimate the repair cost and effort.

I've sometimes seen when removing plumbing access panels behind a tub that the floor joists beneath the tub and bathroom floor have been excessively notched to route the drain and supply lines. Could be a possible reason for all the cracked tiles.

I'll have to pass this house, found several more problems, other than the bathroom, the other floor is bouncing too, there are water leaks in the kitchen ceiling, the attic above is wet with black mold. And maybe there are hidden problem. Will cost a lot too repair all this. Thanks all for your help.
