    Default window case mositure?

1981 built town house, recently painted, all the window cases I tested like this. It show dry at the window frame part but red light on the inside of window case. the top section is worse. I do not think it was leaking but cannot make it out.

    Thanks

In that picture the moisture meter is reading the metal corner bead and not the moisture content. False reading.

If you use the pins, you will only be reading the extra thick joint compound and not the drywall.

Are there signs of moisture intrusion or are you just waving your MM around for fun?

Thanks Bruce, No there is no sign of moisture. But there is no big over hang. I just wave the meter. Can you give me a little detail on that metal bead & extra thick jonts? I watched the built of window case. I did not remeber I see any matel beads (corner protection or strap). Just dry wall nailed.

Yes, it is metal bead. Thanks
