    Default Kitchen counter outlets

What is permitted on kitchen small applance GFI counter outlets? Older home with GFI breaker controlling one kitchen counter outlet, bathroom outlet, garage light fixture and all ceiling light fixtures throughout the interior of home.

The kitchen counter receptacles are required to be served by a minimum of 2-20 amp small appliance branch circuits but this probably wouldn't apply to a very old house.

On something like what you describe, I would describe the conditions that you found and mention that the electrical system was not designed to accommodate the appliances and gadgets that typically festoon the modern household. Then, defer to a licensed and qualified electrical contractor for corrections or upgrades, as needed.
