    Default Catcher's Pads for Crawling

Do not mean to say knee pads are bad, just that catcher's pads are better. I have struggled a bit w/ knee pads sliding, catching, fasten only above the knee, fasten only below the knee, too tight, too loose, etc. The catcher's pads form fit better and stay in place better. A big bonus is shin protection; especially with attic truss crawling. The final bonus is the "HAZ MAT" look. Added to the respirator and tyveks, how can a client not appreciate you ?

Thanks Garry, I'll look at those next time I need pads.

For elbow pads, I've been using the latest from KrawlGear. They go all the way up the forearm. I don't just use my elbows, so these are real nice. The one problem is they get pretty stinky after a few uses where the elbow pads didn't. I'm going to need to buy another pair so I always have a non-smelly set.

I've been using Krawl Gear Knee pads and forearm/elbow pads for a couple of years. They stay in place.

The above statements are expressed solely as my opinion and in all probability will conflict with someone else's.

Thanks. I'm using their full length crawl gloves, but they have a couple hurdles. Trying to clean them is difficult and taking photos requires customization or lots of on & off.

Well, that's frustrating. I spend a lot more on regular elbow pads. Thanks Brian, I'll have to check those out.

Regarding knee pads, I switched to the knee pads used for playing volleyball. They stay in place and can be worn both under the trousers/TYVEK suit or over them.
