Default supply lines in attic space ?

I have rebuilt half of my house from the slab up. Is there code for running water supply lines in the attic space? I don't want to get into the slab, and would prefer not to have a bulkhead to run supply lines. We will be using existing drains. We had drop ceiling before we rebuilt, thats where the lines were before.

I'm not aware of any Code that wouldn't allow the water lines to be installed in the attic space. Of course you would need to verify local requirements. Since you are in Indy, you would need to provide proper freeze protection for both sets of pipes. Also when securing the pipes allow for expansion movement.
