Default Stop by tonight and watch the fireworks!

Told the buyers that if they saw the lights dim and a puff of smoke at the backyard they would need to call another inspector to finish the job. These are always scary.

Looks like there might have already been a "puff of smoke". That's on the utility side right? They should come fix it pretty quick. Another scary one I've dealt with as an electrician is an old service, ridgid metal conduit and the wires all sun baked with missing and cracked insulation, just waiting for a little breeze or something to get them acquainted.

    Gary,

My hat's off to you. Really nice catch.
From what vantage point did you see that defect?

    So, where's the barbequed squirrel?

The above statements are expressed solely as my opinion and in all probability will conflict with someone else's.

    Joseph,
I was on the roof. It was overhead service.

    Stuart,
We ate him of course. After all this is Texas.

At my parent's house, a squirrel managed to create his own circuit on the transformer at the pole. When the power went off to the house, my dad went outside and said he could smell the roasting squirrel.

BTW, that was a great catch and not an obvious one.

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.
