    Default why here?

    I've never seen a AAV in an attic like this. Is this allowed here. I think it was installed to vent a 1/2 bath which was installed at the 1st floor below this corner. Two story house.

    I don't see a picture, but as long as the AAV is above the insulation it's allowed.

    Some of them have a cover when in attics that can get real cold or hot. Studor is allowed in areas from -40 to +150 degrees Fahrenheit and with a cover above or below those temps, and can go outside. The Sure Vent is only used indoors, and in the -40 to +150 degree range. And, the AHJ might have stricter requirements.
