Default Glad to be a new member

I am a new member that is curious and very interested in reading the responses from the experiences and knowledge of both new and existing members. My current project is a deck that I am replacing. The challenge will be dealing with the ledger board attached to a cantilevered wall on the house and new support posts and their spacing. Thank you

    Welcome Mike,

    Good info here http://www.awc.org/publications/dca/dca6/dca6-09.pdf

*see page 12 for prohibition of ledger board attachment to overhangs,
** free standing deck might be OK.
