When I turned on water outside in the Spring there was, of course, a flood in the crawl space. No fancy clamps for me! I don't now if they even existed then. I cut a piece of copper pipe to make partial wrap to go over the splits, applied at lot of silicone and 3 worm clamps on each split. Never had another leak from them. Lucky I guess.
