Now; who do you think this comment is referencing?

Various titles and credentials can be acquired online for very little effort, no home inspection experience required! Some of the most impressive sounding actually mean the least.

... it is imparative we get a at arms length discipline committee.
That looks like what will transpire with licencing from the latest updates. That's a good thing since there are associations which do not have any form of discipline, or if they do its limited in what it can excercise on its members through its bylaws such as CAHPI/OAHI.

Right on Bruce! Thanks for confirming what many of us have expressed, and made our views known.
And particularly about the entities who promote online certifications and why the consumer is the loser.

This is an understatement...and a long overdue requirement for an arms length discipline & professional practice committee!

Yes I know of two associations plying their wares up here which do not have any form of an ethical, professional, at arms length complaint process/committee. I guess the bylaws are strictly window dressing.

This is one area that MCS in private discussions pointed out.

The ole story; a few associations ruin it for the rest of the ethical, professional associations.

Oh well come the revolution ....
