I found your forum when I was trying to figure out what to do with our rafter problem. I'll post photos some day so everyone can be amazed. Now, to hire a structural engineer.

When we bought the house years ago, my brother-in-law, a general contractor, did the home inspection and missed a couple of major issues. But that was years ago, and the house hasn't fallen down yet. We're now in the middle of a multi-year renovation.

Love your forum. Sometimes amazing and often funny.
