Question Paint peeling on frame around windows on doors and on garage door

Hello! I am a homeowner and about to submit my 1 year warranty repair list. I am concerned that my builder will not "fix" the paint issue on my garage door and the two doors leading fro the patio to the inside.

The doors have what appears to be a plastic-type molding around the large windows in the doors. I do not know what the garage door is made of, but it is not wood.

The paint is literally "peeling" away. If I took a small end of a piece that has begun to peel I could pull it all around the molding of the door and it would completely remove the paint. My garage door has 'cracks" in the paint that I believe would also do exactly the same thing (I haven't done it so as not to cause further damage.

I am wondering if there is a code on what type of paint must be used on garage doors that are not wood and lead into a home. It seems to me that paint intended for "plastic" or material that isn't wood should be required.

I so appreciate any insight. Thanks!
