    Welcome to the forum, Steve.

    Each state has its own requirements for radon testers, including those which have none.

    The "drawing" to which you refer is probably only required in Illinois and a few other states with similar requirements. Please note that your question will likely only be answered by those who need to submit such drawings. Mine does not.

    That being said, and not knowing fully your requirements, I can add my 2 cents regarding quick layout drawings. I have made these as needed for construction proposals.

    I had used TurboCad 2D in the past. I think it is no longer available. It was representative of a simple CAD program in that, once you learn the method of laying out a room, you get faster over time. There are many open source programs which would offer you the same level of quality. No particular products come to mind in particular, however.

    I had also used Google SketchUp on occasion. This is easily obtainable, and can be adaptable for basic line drawings.
