    Default terminology

    What do you call the box that houses the meter and protects the underground SEC? In this case it does not protect the SEC since the grade has sunken.

    Underground meter socket.

    It's like a wall-mounted meter pedestal, except that it is not a pedestal, it just encloses the underground service lateral from the ground up to the meter.

    How much of that service entrance cable goes inside? Hopefully, the service equipment is right inside that wall.

    Service equip is directly inside at that location.

    I see exterior mains but not too often in this area. Usually when an addition is added to a structure where the original SEC once entered.
