    Default Termite droppings?

    Can someone please tell me what I am looking at here? Home was recently renovated.

    Photo isn't high enough resolution to zoom in and tell for sure, but it looks like wood decay, likely with a carpenter ant infestation.

    The end result of leakage (common on wood windows and doors like shown in the photo.

    I agree with Jerry. As the owner of a 1910 Florida house, I'm an expert in these areas. Termite frass looks like black sand. Your photo looks like rotten wood fibers. BTW, if it's an older house in a termite area, it's going to have frass hidden here and there that will periodically come out, even after the termites have been eliminated. The only non-invasive way (AFAIK) to identify an active drywood infestation is to find wings (or actual termites) during swarm season.
