Default Has your business been affected by this craziness?

Im not doing Home Inspection any longer but like to hang out in here from time to time. Has all this craziness affected the RE market to a point that you can notice?

The local RE market here in Central Florida hasn't slowed at all, been very busy, no current signs of disruption.

Out of curiosity, what do you do now, instead of HI?

It's slow here, but then again, we lost about 8% of our homes in the fires a couple of years ago and the market was off because of that. So, it's difficult to say exactly what the cause of the slowdown is.

Too early to say yet if this virus has affected the market in SE Pennsylvania. The main issue we have is lack of inventory. Big sellers market. The virus stuff and school closures went from 0-100 in a couple days last week so it's too soon to know the impact on the real estate market.

We have a fenestration testing agency. We do ASTM and AAMA tests.

If I remember correctly, I think March was the start of the busy season..

2020 was down a bit for Covid and a bit for lack of decent inventory.
Lack of inventory worth buying was probably the bigger slow down factor around here.
While Covid of course significantly slowed business down during the spring into summer I don't think it had much volume effect the rest of the year. The bigger Covid influence was geographic.
I spent almost no time in areas that I would normally be in weekly. Spent a lot of time in areas I normally only go to from time to time during the year.
Commercial is of course somewhat to mostly dead but that started in 19.

Our business was not affected. I mean we have not lost money. But now all employees are under control, each movement. Also, we have to make COVID tests everyday and have to install tracking apps on our phones to monitor our activity.
