    Default New Inspector, Eastern Canada

    Morning Folks,

I'm an assistant building official working for a municipal government in eastern Canada working towards full certification. I've been looking for an online forum geared specifically towards inspectors for a while now and just happened upon this one. I'm sure there are many differences between codes in the US and Canada but there's no doubt plenty of similarities as well.

    Thanks,

    - J

    J Collins,

    Welcome aboard.

Have you checked the ICC code forum? The ICC fourm is primarily for building code officials, inspectors, plans examiners, and others involved in building code enforcement and development.

    Hi J.

There are, I believe, at least a couple of Canadian home inspectors here. No building officials that I know of, but it is interesting when the differences are discussed.
