Default Breaker trips to off position

    Good afternoon everyone!

I have a client that tells me that one of the breakers in his subpanel tripped to the completely off position. I have never heard of this happening.

    Is this a possibility?

    Thanks!

I have not seen it happen. The client may not understand the difference between no power/tripped position and all of the way off, or if it's a really old panel it may feel like it's tripped to the far off position.

Some are designed to trip to a midway position, some to full-off.

After doing some research, that's what I concluded also. Thanks for confirming.
