    Default Mtg companys requiring HI

I recieved a call today from a mtg. co. wanting an inspection on a property they were refinancing.
Turned out I did an inspection in 2005 on the property, and the mtg company now needed a new, current inspection.
Is this something new, a start of new mtg requirements?

It seems like a lot of things are tightening up.

We are getting calls for WDI Inspections (NPMA-33) on homes less than 1 year old by lenders for new loans as well as Re-Fi.

Never had a mortgage co. call for an HI on a refi, but they have called numerous times to request a WDI report for the underwriters.

I did the inspection yesterday, Turns out it was for a reverse mtg.
Maybe it makes a differnce, between that and a regular mtg.

I have done a few reverse mortgage inspections. I don't mean that they are any different than a regular inspection... you get my drift.
