    Default gas line / fixture

this is a gas line in the attic. Any problems with this lying over a light fixture?

I would definitely write that up. The gas line should be re-routed away from the light fixture and be properly secured according to the manufacturer's specs. In fact, I don't believe it should be lying on top of the ceiling without protection. Someone could run a screw up from the bottom and pierce the CSST.

    Jerome,

Here is a URL for the Gastite installation guide. Section 4.0 has the installation guidelines.

    Jerome,

As John and Nolan pointed out:

    4.1 d)
Protect tubing from contact with sharp objects

(I.e., the corners of that recessed light fixture.)

    4.1 3)
    Avoid stressing the tubing ...

(I.e., pulling on that fitting as shown in your photo.)

    4.4 Strike Protection
