Default Cutler Hammer CH series panels

We always see discussions on FPE and Zinsco panels. However, while talking briefly with an electrician the other day, he said that most electrical fires and problems he has seen are with Cutler Hammer CH series panels (I presumed he was referring to panels from the 1970's and 80's). No details. Didn't find anything with a quick Google search. Wondering if any of you electrical wiz's have heard or run across issues, specifically with the CH series?

I've only heard good things about Cutler Hammer. Could be that your "electrician" was like the "remodeler" my client had with him during an inspection yesterday - spewing misinformation in all directions.

The sample size of one electrician compared to how many panels are in use is totally insignificant. It's too bad he doesn't realize that and adjust what he preaches.

I've never heard a bad thing about a CH panel, old or new.
