    Default Split Busbar

I know that no more than 6 disconnects can be used to turn off all of the electric in a home.
Hower what I don't know is if the amount of the total breaker amperage of the 6 breakers can exceed the the amount of the service cable.

Today I saw a split busbar with at total of 350 amps of the 6 main breakers.
A 200amp service wire with no main disconnect from the meter was observed.

Thanks to all who can help me with this dilema.

Hey Jim - Long time no post!
Just the fact that those breakers add up to 350 with a 200 SEC isn't a problem. There isn't any magic formula.
