Default What furances on the moon look like

I rarely see these anymore... an octopus furnace. I'm not sure it this is a regional thing or not. For their day I imagine these were the talk of the town. Features include duct dampers on every 'leg' and a pan for water to adjust the humidity level. I think this furnace is actually bigger than a compact car.

Matt, I think I saw that thing on an episode of "Gilligan's Island".

That's some vintage asbestos, too! I've seen a few of those. The last one was heating the basement so much better than the house.

Matt do not know if you see much oil fired out there but if the oil line is under the slab you should recommend it be replaced with one in a conduit.

I used to have one very similar to that, except it was a coal burner. As a matter of fact that one almost looks like a conversion.

Replace the cleanout door with the oil burner,,, very inneficient.
All thats missing on that one is the "shaker" handle.

That is a coal conversion and to a High Temp burner as well. That should bring the efficiency up to around 75%.
