    Talking 41 Miles Per Gallon

A 2006 study found that the average American walks about 900 miles a year.

Another study found that Americans drink an average of 22 gallons of beer a year.

That means, on average, Americans get about 41 miles per gallon.

That average is skewed, since I don't drink beer, there must be a "guzzler" out there that gets only 20.5 mpg.

Since I don't drink either, does that knock it down to 10 for that guzzler>

That's funny, because when I drink a gallon of beer, I can only walk about 20 feet.

My wife tried to get me to stop drinking beer. Click here for the story.
