    Default Stucco clearances

I have seen a lot of homes in the area with the hard coat stucco running all the way down to the concrete at the porches and at the roof surface. What are the clearances from concrete and the roof surface? Also, what is the clearance from the foam decorative trim to the concrete at porches, patios and driveways? Thank You

    Greetings Fellow Inspectors,

I am having a problem that hopefully can be solved by the "Inspection News" brain trust. I am trying to locate a pdf file of the dryvit installation instructions circa 1995. The ICC legacy reports and the UBC legacy reports are not available online and I am attempting to mediate a conflict between a general contractor and a Moisture Warrantee Inspector regarding the propriety of a dryvit system installed in 1995.

A certified Moisture Warantee Inspector has stated that the installation does not comply with the required installation guidelines that were applicable at the time of the installation and the general contractor has stated that the installation was in compliance with the applicable installation requirements.

The general contractor has not provided any documentation to support his claim and has lobbied against performing moisture content readings within the wall cavities, claiming that such a diagnostic test would create a threat to the exterior envelop and not provide definitive forensic evidence of moisture intrusion. The Moisture Warantee Inspector has not provided the applicable installation instructions or been able to provide any evidence of moisture intrusion with the wall cavities.

Any and all responses would be greatly appreciated.
