Default Grounding rod directly below Hose bib

I just had a call from a man asking me about a grounding rod below a hose bib.

    I told him no problem.

Hmmm, is there a problem with that?

Not as long as they don't whack the hose bibb off with the sledge hammer driving the ground rod in.

Actually, with the hose bibb being above it, that area may stay wetter than it otherwise would, thereby making it more useful because the resistance between the rod and earth would be less.

Heck, leave the hose bibb on 'drip'.

    Thanks Jerry

I new there was some crazy thought rolling around in this empty space of a brain of mine on "is there a problem".
