    Smile Aluminum wiring

I have not reported on single strand aluminum wiring until now. Three of the home circuits have single strand aluminum wiring. Two of the circuits are 220 volt with 30 amp breakers and one is a 20 amp. I already know some of the common problems that are associated with this type of wiring but would like a little more info. and how other inspectors describe it to there clients.

I advise to get rid of it. I refer to the CPSC brochure which outlines about all there is to know for the average consumer.

If your aluminum wire is #10 or larger it is not a problem in my opinion. What is the age of the house?
