    Default Light in shower

I've seen the thread on fans in showers but I wanted to get your thoughts on this light. Not GFCI protected'

    Could be okay.

It would need to be wet location rated, which typically means the glass has a gasket sealing it when it is installed.

    GFCI protection is not required.

I've never liked those types of shower lights as they hang down into the shower and can be hit (but, they are hard to break - at least the ones I sold 35 years ago).

I see it's once again time for showing the Darwin shower light-fixtures collection!

Thanks for the help. It just doesn't look right to have a light in the shower. Especially one that hung down like that.

The LF (luminaire) I see in your photo was quite common years ago and appears to be of the moisture proof variety approved for wet locations, not like the junk I posted.
What is that "thing" below it that's half hidden by the shower curtain rod, a mirror?

Don't forget to address the "headbanger" aspect of that light fixture (luminaire).

Wet location or not, it is still a "headbanger" location due to the low height of that shower ceiling.
