    Question Shingle question

Recent inspection, found numerous shingles with the top portion of the seal tab missing. All appear to be at the ridge area. Have not seen anything like it before. In the New Orleans area I have seen a lot of damage roofs since Katrina but this has me scratching my head. Is it damage or installation? Has anyone else seen this before?

It could be either, although I suspect it's installation. Either way it's in need of correction.

Lazy, incomplete installation. Plane and simple. Not damage.

It was either a lazy roofer who did not want to do any cutting, or they were running short on materials or a novice.

    It is all installation error.

No damage, (except to the owners wallet) incomplete install.
