    Default Side wall flashings

Hello, I performed a new construction inspection today and I did not observe any counter flashings at the roof and side wall intersections. The wall covering was brick all around. Shouldn't there be counter flashing installed.

    Thanks

    Did it look like this?

If so, then it is wrong. In the two pictures I posted the builder tucked the shingles under the brick and then covered the area with mortar. It needs flashing, what type is up to whoever puts it in. Shingles are not considered to be flashing, contrary to the popular belief of some.
