Re: Required inspections on homes in rural areas
I just mentioned this in the other thread on the same subject.
I just finished a phase inspection course and went over all of that.
Trust me, the builders will be going with the lowest bidders.
When the inspector turns the information in to the trcc website all the trcc wants to know if it passed or failed.

Re: Required inspections on homes in rural areas
These county phase inspections are a good idea. I have been called by home owners who are acting as their own contractor (bad idea) and have seen some unbelievably poor work. Here is one problem with the new rule - it only applies to registered builders so if you build your own house the phase inspection rule does not apply! I do agree that the low bidder inspector who is probably the least skilled will be doing these inspections for the lesser home builders.

Re: Required inspections on homes in rural areas
You can not inspect the plumbing. A state licensed plumber is needed for that inspection.
Am I wrong, I doubt it. I will read it over again but like I said I just took a refresher Phase Inspection Course and went over it thoroughly and that is what 50 people got out of it.
