I find this site to be very informative and educational. However, I think some of our inspectors do not get their information correct and it is difficult to change their minds! For example, the TRCC new rules on phase inspections are relatively easy but I find many inspectors do not understand them. Since I wanted to make sure my interpretation was correct I went to a course taught by the TRCC employees responsible for running the program. All of the inspections can be completed by a TREC licensed fee inspector, an ICC residential combination inspector, a TRCC third party inspector, a licensed engineer, or a registered architect. The inspections are pre-pour, framing, mechanical (to include HVAC, plumbing top-out, and electrical rough-in). For those not convinced go to www.trcc.state.tx.us/policy/resources/071108Finalinspectioninstructionsform.pdf
