    Default TJI/Holddown Connector Abuse

    Below are a few pictures from the house next to yesterday's inspection.

    It appears that the builder is trying his hardest to ensure that all details are incorrect -- absence of web fill, removal of flanges, lack of crush blocks, etc., not to mention substantial cost savings from not nailing the holddown connectors.

    This is in Pearland, TX; you'd think that our recent hurricane would still be somewhat fresh on builder's minds.

    After looking at this one, my client ran, not walked, from the house he was looking at.
