Default Why bother with a foundation?

Not one joist...no not one is attached to the foundation at any point. The entire floor structure is supported by girders which set on concrete. Why bother wasting precious concrete by pouring a foundation????

This house is more like a 1300 square foot "deck"....with a leaky roof over it.....

So they can get a loan, of course

Banks don't care if a foundation is doing anything... just that there is one present.

Not to worry, Clint. That spiderweb will hold everything together.

I have seen this on some older homes where the walls are resting on top of the foundation and the entire floor structure is not.
