    Not just in Texas.

The Desert Research Institute (DRI) here is occupied by geotechnical engineers and other earth scientists yet their building has many structural faults attributed to poor site preparation and inadequacies in the structure as it related to the expansive clay soils that have been at that site for what - a few million years or so.
