The buyer's realtor told them she really thought this room on posts along the back of the house could just be propped up and made straight again.

Another problem (or not ... depending on how soon that room on posts falls down) is that if that is a bedroom opening to the room on posts, then that door used to serve as the EERO and opened (probably) to a deck, however, now it opens to another room ... and that's a no-no.
'Course, though, when that room falls down, that problem goes away.
