New Use For Ammo Box
I have been seeing a lot of storage lofts built in garage ceilings lately. Some are built better than others but almost all are lacking in some way. I always recommend that the sellers ask the buyers for evidence that the work was properly permitted, inspected and approved. (A permit is needed for any structural work.)

This one had a bit of a twist. A support post (a former utility pole) is itself supported by an ammunition box. No, I did not check to see if the ammo box was empty.

This is one of the benefits of living in a military town. I run across all sorts of things that have walked off from Fort Carson and Peterson AFB.

Bruce, My neighbors house is built out of the wooden ones, stacked like block and filled with newspaper for insulation. All stuccoed. It's about a 1500 SF house and looks pretty normal. It was built in the 1940's (of course) and still just fine.

Looks like the Drawers of the home made work bench was made put of Small Arms
crates.
