Double Wide
I had a call for inspecting a double wide home.
Do you inspect it like a regular home with a crawl space ?

Thanks
Steve

Re: Double Wide
Yep, but... different electrical setup than single families that you are likely familiar with. Also, be aware that standard building codes don't apply. Be careful about water damage to roof, ceilings and floors. Pay attention to the on-site utility connections and add-ons like porches/awnings. Steps and hand rails are almost never right.
Plan on spending plenty of time underneath checking for leaks, tears in the bottom wrapper and insulation. Watch for proper connection of the two halves.

Re: Double Wide
Good advice there from Jim.

Good luck finding the WH. Most are hidden behind some exterior panel with 67 sheet metal screws that will need to be removed or it could be in one of the bedroom closets hiding behind the 600+ Beanie Babies.

When you first pull up to the place, sit in your truck a few minutes and see if the guy in the pic below runs out from under the porch to greet you. They say he doesn't bite though.

Re: Double Wide
I kid you not... I once got taken down by a billy-goat that had the same body build that that pooch.

Blind-sided no less... Ever see those foot-ball follies where a player gets tossen into the air and absolutely thrown for a complete loop?

That was me. Funny now that I think about it, but at the time all I could do was just get up like nothing had happened and slowly back out of the fence while keeping an eye-out on him.

Hell, after that billy-goat-from-hell episode, I'll never turn my back on a goat again...

As far as dogs go, the only bite I've had has been from a "Oh she has never bitten anyone" Cocker-Spaniel that was foaming at the mouth. Ripped my good jeans too.

Those big/ bad muscular pooches... I've never had a problem with. Most just want someone to play with'em.

Rich
