Can anyone identify these plates and straps
I ran across these in a basement that has a water mitagation system installed and come issues with the block walls... cracks and displacement.

There are 6x6 inch metal plates on the rim joists with straps going behind the plastic panels. Can't tell where they are going or what they are supposed to be used for. They are spaced apart about the same as metal support beams or the reinforcer carbon strips. I have searched the internet and ask a well known basement doctor and no luck.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Rick

Re: Can anyone identify these plates and straps
First pic on right appears to be heavy gauge angle connector. Could also be retrofit Hold Down. Can't tell.

Last pic looks like a standard sump with ext drain.

Good luck

Re: Can anyone identify these plates and straps
I believe that they are hanging those applied wall sections off the rim joist. That along with a proper drainage system along the bottom edge should do very well. Should being the Key word. I always recommend consulting with the owner for name of installer and any warranties that may be in affect.
Along with the general disclaimer as to condition of foundation walls.
