    The house has been jacked up, possibly moved, and set on a new foundation? If so, the job isn't quite finished.

    Any chance that is a small chimney ( I am not sure of the size/scale of it) without a base? Also is that an old piece of BX that ends with a wire coming out of it?

    Yeah, it's BX. No sign of the place being lifted. The chimney was cased in within the home and was disassembled to below the roofline. I couldn't tell how the chimney structure was supporting itself from collapse. Certainly wasn't the 3/4" ply hangers & 2x alone.
