Help settle this arguement
In Illinois is a sump pump required in a crawl space. I thought it was but am told no.

Bill,
I found some townships in ILL. that require a sump pump if there is a drain in the floor.

Cruised this link ilga.gov/commission

Hope the link up loads. If not Illinois Plumbing Code will pull it it. I saw no requirement
for a sump pump

It should depend on variables, e.g., soil conditions, topography, etc..
