What experience is anyone having with the new Sprinkler Requirement in SFD and has anyone any idea of what the average Square Footage costs might be?

I only have two towns in my area that require whole house sprinklers on new construction on homes over 2,000sf. I was told by s builder that it adds about $1.25 per SF when a home is being built.
