Return for repairs, Stinger Strion?
Anyone ever have to return their Stinger (model, Strion) for repairs?
Mine just quit the other day.
Bulb is good and has continuity.
Battery reads the 3.75 V it is supposed to have.
If you take it apart and use jumpers from the battery to the bulb pins, it works fine. Something in the switch mechanism has gone bad.
It is supposed to have a lifetime warranter for defects not including battery, bulb, or charger.
Anyone have any problems with getting yours repaired?

I live near the factory and have gotten free fixes and a free replacement with a smile. You shouldn't have any problem.

Check around your area to see if they have a warranty repair center. I have found them to located in the shops the sell Stingers. Call of the police supply stores, or you might even try a battery store like Batteries Plus. Better yet call or email Stinger.

Re: Return for repairs, Stinger Strion?
Just stopped by the factory again yesterday. Last yr., they charged me about $12 for a new battery after cleaning it, replacing the lens and bulb at N/C. This time they did it all for n/c. I am hard on my Stinger but wouldn't trade it for the world.
Great service, esp. when you can drive up to the service entrance.

I've had great luck with local repair shops for my Stinger and Maglite. Often times, the part is free or really cheap. They've even offered me a loaner while mine's being fixed.
If you're in a city of much size I would think there's an authorized service place nearby.
