PUT THE LID DOWN PLEASE
Looking at some web site and videos. I see photos of the lid up.
If you are going to take a photo of the bathroom can we put the lid down! Please.

If the lid up bothers you so much, maybe you should be in another line of work.

Re: PUT THE LID DOWN PLEASE
Speaking of toilets, I did an inspection yesterday and I had the tank lid off while I was doing the red food color trick to determine if the flapper valve was leaking.

I come down out of the attic and found the bathroom door wide open and the agent whizzing in the sink. He looked like a deer in headlights. I told him he could have put the tank lid back on and just used the toilet.

His comeback was "I do it all the time to keep from peeing on the toilet lid."

The first and perhaps most important requisite for being a home inspector is a strong stomach!

Re: PUT THE LID DOWN PLEASE
Yuak! Did you put that photo with you standing next it on the front page of your web site or on the front page of a report for the owner?

Putting the lit down on that is not going to get it.

Re: PUT THE LID DOWN PLEASE
Scott,

Not to sure, but I think he was standing on his toes with it lobbed over into the sink.

I've tried to delete the image from my memory.

No.

I have some food coloring tablets that I just toss one in the tank, come back in a while and check and see if the coloring has made it into the toilet bowl.

If so, the flapper valve is leaking water which is a waste.

Thinking green,
rick
