Downloading the Inspection Radio Toolbar
Tim,

Was it you who had a question or issue on downloading the toolbar? While I was replying to another post I forgot to address this and now I can't find it.

If you had trouble please let me know exactly what it did or did not do.

We are working on a video tutorial on it now.

I'm very excited about it an I think you will really enjoy it.

I had not trouble downloading it. It is pretty cool. But it only works on windows explorer. I also have Avant Brower, and it does not work or show up there.

I'm glad you like it! It will continue to get better and better as we refine and update it.

Currently we are only testing it on Windows Internet Explorer and FireFox browsers.

Re: Downloading the Inspection Radio Toolbar
Brian, this is my first post and I wanted to let you know that I downloaded the Inspection Radio Toolbar and not only does it work, but as my daughter would say; "cool beans".

Now I just have to figure out the rest of the board including my profile.

Thanks for your dedication and hard work.

Re: Downloading the Inspection Radio Toolbar
Brian,

Initially when I tried downloading it (Radio thingy not tool bar) from the InspectionNews catagories on the 'home page' (one with all of the categories listed) I clicked on the oval window to download. Nothing happened, meaning it just sat there until it timed.

Will try again.

Re: Downloading the Inspection Radio Toolbar
Sorry Brian,

You can disregard my last post on the tool bar. That works fine now.

My question to you was on the upload of the avatar of my picture (like you have yours next to your name when you make a post) I uploaded it, 3k and 89 x 100 pixels, like the directions say, but it only will only show up on my profile not on my posts.

Brian, my initial post was under "Good Night" right after you.

Re: Downloading the Inspection Radio Toolbar
Hi Tim,

Unless you are seeing something different than I am (and please let me know if yo are) it should say "Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller)." for the size of the avatars.

Try that size and let me know if it works and also let me know if you are viewing different instructions.

Re: Downloading the Inspection Radio Toolbar
Brian,

No instructions on "Edit Avatar" section it reads:

Quote:
No Avatar Specified Avatars are small graphics that are displayed under your username whenever you post.
Do not use an avatar
Note: if you have a custom avatar selecting this option will delete it.

Under FAQ:

User Maintenance:

How do I get a picture under my name?

Quote:
These small images are called Avatars. They are displayed below your username on all posts that you make. There are two kinds of avatars: those provided by the administrator and those that you upload yourself.

If the administrator has provided a set of avatars, and avatars are enabled, you may select an avatar that best describes your personality.

The administrator may also have enabled custom avatars, which allows you to upload an avatar image from your computer.

For more information about avatars, click here.

Avatars are small graphical images that you may choose in your profile. They are displayed by your username on all posts that you make. You can select the image that best describes yourself from your profile options.
Now if I go to the user CP and click on "Edit Profile Picture" I get:

http://www.inspectionnews.net/home_i...5&type=profile Profile pictures are small pictures of your self, that are displayed within your user profile.
DeCustom Profile PictureYou may upload a new custom image using the controls below.

Option 1 - Enter the URL to the Image on Another Website
Option 2 - Upload Image From Your Computer
Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 100 by 100 pixels or 5.0 KB (whichever is smaller).

lete current image?

I do not see what you say about:

Quote:

This part does not even come up, only what I copied and pasted here is what I can see.

Quote:

PS. I like the new formatting for doing quotes and bolds and stuff. Good job.

You are correct.

Do you receive an error? What is happening?

I would ask you to send it to me and I'd take care of it but I would like to help you figure it out so that others will learn as well.

But, if you do want to send it to me I will try to see if it works for this end.

Re: Downloading the Inspection Radio Toolbar
My Firefox will not allow installation. The tab says "software installation currently disabled" and when I click the edit options button as instructed, I do not get the window that is in the instructions. I have enabled a bunch of stuff in the "content" and "download" tabs, but to no avail. I will keep working on it.

Re: Downloading the Inspection Radio Toolbar
Brian,
I got on with out any problem (for those of you who do not know me I am "beta tester for the technically incompetent") which is quite a feat. The site itself looks great & is easy...but Inspection Radio is really cool. I think I actually had fun at my computer.

Thanks.

Brendan
