    Default Gas and oil resistant wires

    I can't find any info on reasons for this install. Panel is a sub next to the main in the garage. any thoughs would be appreciated.

    Think about what the oil resistant wires supply... maybe a grease pit, pump or other equipment where oil is likely contaminant?

    Yes, That's my dilemma. None of the above. No sump no grease nunca, nada.

    Had some extra wire and did not feel like running to the supply house.

    Oh yeah. You really did not use the words sub when referring to any panel did you

    From what I hear around here there is no such thing as a sub panel even though I have used the term all my life.

    Were you in the navy? They have a fleet of boats which operate underwater and use those sub panel things.

    Yes I like the wires were on the truck, and were installed at the hoagie shop on a submarine. Thanks guys

    A lot of THHN /THWN is also listed as MTW (Machine Tool Wire) Oil & Gasoline resistant.
