Check out the electrical receptacle on its back; the NEC prohibits receptacles from facing up in wet locations.

The NEC does prohibit recepticals from facing up in a wet location, I think I said that. I never called the space under a lav a wet location. I said "check out that receptical on its back" inferring a judgment call. Sorry for any confusion. As far as mopping floors, a floor receptical box is listed for that use. A 4x4 steel box I doubt, would be listed at all; especaily in that location. Again a judgment call. Besides, our Electrical Specialist said: "no way Jose" and his name is Jose too!
