Tankless DV Water Heater Gas Connection

I know codes are different for county to county but generally speaking, would a 20 ft flex gas pipe would be allowed for connection of a tankless water heater?

Sounds like CSST, as opposed to flex connector. If CSST, 20' shouldn't be a problem, in and of itself.

I have never seen a 20 ft flex gas line, or a thankless water heater.
I have seen a few indifferent ones though.

A "thankless water heater"!! I've never see a "thankless" water heater. Then again I've never seen a thankful water heater either.

Would need to know the manufacturer of the csst (of course most are close in how much gas they will allow to pass) to determine, also the BTUs of the tankless (normally around 199,000 ) but some are more and some are a little less.

20' will only supply an aprox 175,000 BTU appliance, with gas pressure in ounces.

Is it an elevated gas system with a regulator at the unit, then 3/4 should be fine.

You will need to know what size the line is and at what pressure its at and if it is natural or propane to make a determination. Maximum btu rating of the appliance will also need to be found out.
